True story! I beat the guy in second place by 2 seconds! The last mile (or more) of the course there wasn't really a good place to pass, so I was "biding my time". I figured now or never & I passed him on the downhill ski jump thing headed into the parking lot and then out sprinted him around the tennis courts to the finish on the back side of the football field! Man that was exciting!
 I'm finding that in these races you can be a skinny little so and so and do well on the climbs (which I'm getting better at thank god) but on a course like the Pinnacle you can make up a lot of time by being able to flow the downhill and wet rocks roots and techy stuff. Riding w/ our Tuesday crew really puts me in a good spot to be competitive... I go into these races w/ a "normal tuesday" ride mentality and so far so good!_________________ www.claremontcycle.com |

So I just checked the EFTA website... turns out that the guy that got second placed better than I did at Bear Brook 2 weeks ago (he got 3rd & I got 6th). I moved up in the points race from 12th to 2nd! I'm out of 1st by only 38 points... We'll see how the rest of the year goes...
